With 4,566 meters height, Meru Mountain is the second highest point in Tanzania. It is located in the North-East of Arusha over looking at the highest peak in Africa Mount Kilimanjaro Meru Mountain is part of Arusha National Park, for that case you will have the opportunity to walk through the game that you might come across, most likely giraffes and buffaloes, to the starting point of your hike.
Trekking is steeper in Meru mountain, climbing takes 2 days up and 1 days down depending on the weather and physicality of the person. It has beautiful surroundings entertained by wild animals as reedbucks, buffaloes, elephants, duikers and colorful birds. Wild flowers such as fireballs lilies are common. At the crater walls, which dominated by the podo and juniper trees. Olive pigeons flying from tree to tree while singing wildly. On the other hand red-headed parrots relaxing and enjoying podo fruits.
Yoga Style: Vinyasa Flow & Dynamic Hatha
Taught by Heather Cruise, a Yoga Alliance Certified instructor, she teaches a dynamic form of yoga benefiting those seeking strength, flexibility, a clear mind, and an energy boost. Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a dynamic flow of yoga which uses a system of breath synchronized with movement (Vinyasa) and a range of postures linked together in a continuous flow to build an intense and challenging yoga series. By engage the energy locks (bandhas) and the eye gazing points (dristis) the mind can relax so one can focus the mind in a meditative way during the practice.

Sunset Yoga 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Kilimanjaro Yoga Retreat Dates:
The Yoga Retreats are available on the last week of each month throughout the year. Yoga groups are small which allows for personal attention and adjustments.

This alcoholic drink is made from ripe fermented bananas. You will be shown how the brewing process works and for the brave hearted given a cup to taste. You will also visit a traditional Chagga house, a very efficient cone-shaped structure with one door and no windows, the roof thatched with dried grass or banana leaves.
Also, learn about the historical tribal wars between the Chagga and Maasai by visiting 200 year old tunnels and caves dug by the Chagga people as hide outs for people and their livestock who would live underground for months. In late afternoon return to Lodge for evening yoga, dinner, and bonfire.


The waterfalls are at 150 meters, with a temp of 10C, we will have a picnic lunch while you can enjoy swimming or meditation around the pools. In late afternoon return to the lodge for 5-6 pm sunset Yoga session. Evening dinner with bonfire.
